My work is based on the use of texts in spaces, objects or on canvas. I have oscillated from one medium to another throughout the past five years. My exploration of typography and the projection of words onto surfaces has led to the consideration of text as a visual and playful substance. All work shown here are from my last series of paintings entitled Words and Colors.

My aim is to efface the borders between literature and fine arts by creating a ‘visual book‘. Living in an Anglo-Saxon country for three years has incited me to work with the ambivalence of language; translations and sonorities, and to enlarge my lexicon to include bilingual associations and letter dissociation. Contemporary poetry and literature are the bases of my research. Colours and Words offer a double reading of personal texts. By highlighting specific letters with a different colour, I invite the viewer to play and find a pun on words inside each sentence. Some words create a poem along different canvases. An interplay between the meaning of the words and their colours exists within the canvas, while this word and colour game is also at play between the entire installation of canvases.
