My work is deals with "collecting" and reassembling flotsam and jetsam. I recreate these objects and spaces and ideas through drawing, painting, and ceramic sculpture. The components of each piece tend to be generic in nature. By virtue of being generic, they are at once devoid of and loaded with meaning. These discrete objects are then juxtaposed in such a way as to suggest a narrative that albeit surreal or absurd, often makes sense in a mechanical way.
