I am using a flat, five sided, geometric shape in high quality birch plywood as my painting surface. One of the sides is slightly curved while the others are straight edged. I am influenced by the natural world and draw on patterns and shapes that I see in it. The dark mark is spontaneous and the other floating shapes interact with it. The result is quirky and animated. I think of them as commentary on the precarious qualities in nature.
