Michael A Rippens was born in the Los Angeles suburb of South Pasedena. He began his artistic career painting public murals in the Southern California area and completed his first solo mural at the age of 18 before moving to New York to study painting. Michael received a BFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and has since exhibited both large and small scale projects throughout New York City and surrounding areas. He currently works part time for a non-profit arts-in-education organization and resides in Brooklyn, NY.
