Peter Marin was born and raised in Mexico City. Since then, he has lived in California, Madrid and New York City. He received his BA from UC Berkeley and subsequently his MFA from Hunter College. He has been painting for 15 years and active in New York for 8 years, exhibiting and curating. His professional affiliations are as a professor of art at Hunter College, as the executive Director of the Latin American Cultural Center of Queens, as a Vice President to the board of the Queens Council on the Arts, as currently as a board member to Precita eyes in San Francisco and as drawing and paiting faculty at the Sonoma Community Center, Ca. Marin's work has been shown in galleries and museums in Mexico, Spain, Switzerland, California and New York City. His work is also part of major public and private collections and foundations.
