Bewildered by the current inversion of rationality, Radek Szczesny has a strategy to escape the conundrum. In his paintings, drawings and sculptures, he travels the emotionally charged space between the visual image and the aberrant process to get there. He leaves a breadcrumb trail of beacons, maps, and vacant spaces to furnish it with objects appropriated from the everyday. He isolates technological elements against a pale transcendental light, or empty chairs waiting by side of the pool, to follow our shifting emotions in the wake of various catastrophes. Radek Szczesny in one of the co-founders of Open Ground and a regular collaborator. He is the art editor of Beekiller.net and has shown at galleries including HEREart, Slingshot Projects, and Dam Stuhltrager.
