Through my project I want to evoke a new way of looking at the space around us, by challenging our conventional uses of perspective that we’re so dependent on in manmade architectural forms. Also I like to create a physical space in which the viewer can imagine what underlies beneath the phenomenon and perceive the essence of being. Researches of modern physics (relativity and quantum theory) along with eastern mysticism (Buddhism and Taoism) are applied to understand the reality beyond phenomena in life and the mysterious universe. From Eastern point of view, phenomena are just different menifestation of one absolute reality. What we see and feel in a temporal world seems very logical and explainable with language that is based on our sensory system. However modern physics discover a new world in which contradictions coexist and which is beyond our sensory world. Thus modern physicists now suggest another way to see through the world with a realization of new perspective. In the book “Tao of Physics’, Fritjof Capra explores the parallels between modern physics and Eastern mysticism. In this book he describes dynamic, interdependent relation of all things in universe and some more important facts that modern physics and eastern mysticism share.

‘ Beyond’ and ‘Beyond- Dark, Hole’ series are two-dimensional drawings implicating higher-dimensional space. In this piece, the oval shape on the surface slightly changes its form by the viewers mere movements around it, and from only one viewpoint, by looking at two perpendicular walls together, viewers will be able to recognize one perfect circle representing a Black hole. This takes on a new trait, which becomes an entrance into inner and outer universe. Through this work, I like to ask a deliberate, yet philosophical question ‘What’s being?’ and ‘What’s one’s relation to the mystical inner and outer universe?’
