My work has a strong cinematic side. In both film language and dream language, you find images that are resistant to consumption and interpretation. Images which develope an open field of possible meanings.
The act of making art, I think , is therefore an act of ongoing research and discovery.
An Intuitive and poetic taxonomy of space/ of ..reality...
We study what we desire or fear...
It is this formal process of capturing emotion, that distinguishes art in principle from what otherwise is perceived as world.That interests me, that emotional state and the role art - might play in it.
Black. Maybe this colour is soulful because it is void. For me still the most poetic, the strongest colour ... and very difficult to replace.
