Left image and image below - Fire! - graphite on the wall, 2002 dimension variable. - A scene of troops shooting a missile is drawn by graphite directly on the wall of the gallery. The realistic drawings transform the white wall into a huge pictorial space however, the emptyness of the background rejects the picturization and neutralizes the act of violence at the same time.
Right images - Herbal Guns, - ink and watercolor on paper, 2002, 9 x 12 in. - The sophisticated design of modern guns shows the cruelty of human beings, while herbal flowers inlaid within the guns and its descriptions tell the medicinal virtues. Two contradictory features, artifacts for killing living things and creations of the natural world used to heal people, are combined into one. A protest against violence is represented by joyful watercolor and ink.
