I paint because I love to make things and must have some deep seeded need inside me to express and create. I try to be honest as an artist, and part of that is creating what I know and truly connect with. I like to think that my work has a visual voice that is unique to me. At its best, I hope that my work is both intensely personal and universally recognizable.
