With the generous assistance of the Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc., Art Chicago has been given the opportunity to mount its International Exposition of 104 dealers in one of its massive exhibition halls!
NOVA : April 27 – 30 2006
Nova Art Fair transforms Chicago's City Suites Hotel into a 40-gallery exposition of new art. The Nova mission is to broaden the exposure of emerging and contemporary art and artists by providing a cost-effective showcase for the best established and emerging galleries, ateliers, storefronts, artist collectives and artist-run spaces.
Version>06 Parallel Cities : April 27 - May 04 2006
Version is a festival focused on emerging art, technology, and social activism. Version examines local systems and external networks that use visual and conceptual art strategies, innovative social practices, creative uses of new technologies, effective organizing structures, emerging activist/artist initiatives, campaigns, public interventions and DIY projects.
On April 29 all 45,000 Sq ft of exhibition and performance space of the Version kunsthalle will be open to the public. For two days we will host the NFO XPO and the Version Conference. Also opening is the New Trends in Chicago Photography exhibition. The Group Group Show and the Urban Gardening and Exterior Decorating exhibition will be open during this special weekend program. An extensive performance program and other special programs will take place this Saturday and Sunday. This is our most anticipated event of the festival.
MACO méxico arte contemporáneo : April 26 - 30 2006
For the third year, the most important contemporary art fair in Latin America, MACO takes place in Mexico City, this time in Expo Reforma Convention Center.
This year, maco will gather over 70 galleries from more than 10 countries. Maccarone Inc., Luis Adelantado, Happy Lion, Arndt & Partner and Nara Roesler, to mention some of the international exhibitors and further more a big group of galleries established in our country, like OMR, Arena Mexico, Art & Idea, Enrique Guerrero, Kurimanzutto among others.
