As a starting point for my work, I often look at instructional diagrams found on everyday items such as drink cartons and food wrappers. I like to explore what happens when you apply this particular aesthetic style to everyday actions such as folding bus tickets, eating chips, standing at the bus stop. I am interested in the conventions that people adhere to, and wonder what it is that makes us think things have to be done in a certain way. I give my audience instructions and, in doing so, I hope to make them step back and take another look at how and why they do
