Diana Thater lives and works in Los Angeles, California. Having received her Bachelor of Arts in Art History from New York University in 1984, the artist went on earn her Masters of Fine Arts in 1990 at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Since that time, she has exhibited widely, enjoying recent solo shows including 'knots + surfaces', Dia Center for the Arts, New York (2001); 'The Sky is unfolding under you', David Zwirner Gallery, New York (2001); 'Diana Thater', Galerie Ghislane Hussenot, Paris, France; 'Diana Thater: Transcendence is expansion and contraction at the same time', Haunch of Venison, London (2003); 'Diana Thater: Keep the Faith.
