The spill, the drop, the pour, the gesture, the line, the spray, the flat shape, the wet into wet and the painterly drawing exist in a dreamlike synthetic landscape of the artificial. My paintings can be seen in action or motion, flat angular shapes floating in an underwater like space with gestural brushwork swimming through the canvas. The work has the New York School aspirations, swimming dreams of a plastic fantastic landscape and a grown up sense of beauty.
