SELF, FASHION AND SELF-FASHION is a site-specific project consists of (side cabinet, wardrobe, bath table, chair and dinning table-diving board, seesaw-bench, armchair) as a scene for 45 min performance; a female performer steps onto the cabinet ladder to drop her bag and accessories in the upper drawer, the cabinet dovetailed into the gate column, she walks some steps to drape her clothes in the wardrobe, which is dovetailed in the stone frame of the window in the Arcade, then she walks toward the bath mounted with table at the courtyard, after taking bath she cross the road to have dinner at Tate Britain front yard, the dinning table-diving board dovetailed within handrail, a candlestick cast as whole out of wax lights the scene. Later on the girl steps up on the table, walks to the edge of the diving board and jumps into the ground, some steps to sit on the seesaw that placed in the gap between the two benches. From a distance, an onlooker is sitting on the armchair watching the scene, the armchair inserted into opposite side bench. I have designed and made models for five handcarts and tour leaflet for visitors to explore the sites and experience my furniture pieces that have installed around. |
