In my photos, I depict architectural details that have been shaped into clear, geometric form. I search for various textures and factures in cities and in modern, contemporary architecture, which either remain clearly visible in my photos, or disappear completely. In details, which have been extracted form the whole, the walls, cables and shadows transform into geometric shapes. I am interested not only in space, but also in the proportions of the chosen detail and the original whole, the way things are related to one another. These can, at the same time, also alter the perception of space. The accentuated details are sometimes the walls of multiple storey buildings, which are nevertheless small in comparison to the whole, at other times, enlargements on the prints of fragments that are only a few centimeters in the reality. I compose the photos in the viewfinder of the camera without any subsequent modifications or interventions.
