| Eva Kalpadaki: Transitions - PureArts Spring Art Fair Exhibition - The PowderMills Hotel, Battle
PURE Arts group is delighted to present its first exhibition devoted entirely to the medium of Photography. ‘Transitions’ will showcase a range of contemporary ‘fine art’ photographic practice from photographers based in the South East, London and Northern France and is the first exhibition by Pure Arts Group devoted to the medium. Curated by Nigel Green, the work in this exhibition was chosen to reflect the duality of photography as a documentary medium, having historically defined notions of objectivity, and its coexisting status as an interpretive and experimental process. The resulting exhibition indicates different approaches and understanding that underpins photographic enquiry today and which can lead one to question certain notions of the photographic. This exhibition seeks to show photography as a diverse practice with many influences and outcomes, to place emphasise on the medium as a path of thinking as much as a visual and perceptual form.
Exhibiting Photographers include: Nigel Green; Stephen Hughes; Andrew Moran; Marcus Haydock; Jean-Luc Brouard; Alex Currie; Lucy Phillips; Sebastian Hedge; Claire Dignocourt; Eva Kalpadaki; Fergus Heron; Alexander Brattell; Martin Everett; Fleur Alston; Penny Klepuszeewska; Nick Snelling
