Patricia Shrigley, lives and works in London. Patricia studied at sir John Cass School of art Guildhall and Camberwell art school London.Patricia film “Grese, West, Atkins, Hindley, Ruda & England” is published on a new artists film and video DVD label: Filmarmalade, Marmalade publishers of visual theory Patricia is currently working on a film in Estate face ; the film is a reflection on eugenics and the labelling of the working classes since Galton and present day. Patricia’s work takes an irreverent, satirical approach to notions of self-identity, mixing caricatures and stereotypes. Patricia uses herself and actors and real life situations. In Patricia’s performances she use costumes, makeup and tape. Patricia visual imagery is one of the most compelling means of looking at identity’s and social behaviour. Patricia has been working with mostly film installations, and has shown work internationally at galleries and film festivals. Her work has also been screened at the Berlinale, Berlin, Opica, Gijón and the Portobello Film Festival, London, to name a few
