Susan Petticrew's work investigates the uncertain, fugitive nature of memory, and its capacity to evoke, on one hand, disquiet and anxiety and on the other, rich, sensory remembrances. The drawings dwell on the nature of momentary experiences and how they shape us.  One remembrance leaches unchecked into another.  The forms that emerge are the recollection, awkward, uncertain.
