The Shedhalle Zurich is a location for socio-political and experimental art practice. Key to its self-understanding are critical contributions on issues involving the production, representation and distribution of power, as well as artistic production, mediation, and archiving.
We are seeking a curatorial team from 1.8.09 to 31.7.12, with an option of a year's extension to 31.7.13. The vacancies amount to 140% positions. Two or more persons may apply - a trans-disciplinary combination is welcome but not condition. The applying team can be multilingual however one person must be proficient in spoken and written German.
The curatorial team is responsible for the development of projects, the organization of discursive events and communication formats as well as overseeing archiving. Prerequisites include an interest for new forms of artistic engagement and analysis as well as the ability to network projects locally and internationally. A further integral component of the scope of duties lies within the extension and realization of new fundraising models in collaboration with the management board, as well as public relations.
In the framework of a to be founded guest-curatorial concept in agreement with the curators the association Shedhalle will set a competition for an additional project.

AUSSCHREIBUNG KURATORIUM 2009
Die Shedhalle Zürich ist ein Ort der gesellschaftspolitischen und experimentellen Kunstpraxis. Zentral sind kritische Beiträge zu Fragen der Herstellung, Darstellung und Verteilung von Macht, sowie Fragen der künstlerischen Produktion, der Vermittlung und Archivierung.
Gesucht wird ein kuratorisches Team ab 1.8.09 - 31.7.12 mit Option zur Verlängerung bis 31.7.13 zu 140 Stellenprozenten. Bewerben können sich zwei oder mehrere Personen - eine transdisziplinäre Zusammensetzung ist willkommen, jedoch keine Bedingung. Das Bewerbungsteam kann multilingual sein, aber 1 VertreterIn muss deutsch mündlich und schriftlich beherrschen.
Zum Aufgabenbereich gehören die Entwicklung von Projekten, die Organisation von diskursiven Veranstaltungen und Vermittlungsformaten sowie die Archivbetreuung. Vorausgesetz wird ein Interesse für neue Formen künstlerischer Auseinandersetzungen sowie die Fähigkeit, Projekte lokal und international zu vernetzen. Ein weiterer wesentlicher Bestandteil des Aufgabenfeldes wird in Zusammenarbeit mit der Geschäftsleitung die Erweiterung und Realisation neuer Modelle des Fundraisings sowie der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit sein.
Im Rahmen eines neu zu gründenden gastkuratorischen Konzepts in Absprache mit dem Kuratorium wird der Verein Shedhalle zusätzlich ein Projekt ausschreiben.
