THEME | Portfolio ShowCase Volume 7
There is no theme for this exhibition. The images will be evaluated as a cohesive body of work, rather than individual images. Fifteen photographers will be chosen to display their twelve-image portfolios in the Center’s Portfolio ShowCase Volume 7 book and online exhibition.
JUROR | Alexa Becker
Alexa Becker holds an MA in art history and is the acquisitions editor for photography and art books for Kehrer Verlag, in Heidelberg, Germany.
EXHIBITION AND AWARDS
With selection for this exhibition, featured artist’s work will be seen by an international audience of collectors, curators, art consultants, and other advocates of fine art photography. Participants will be included in the Center’s Online Gallery exhibition as well as have their accepted portfolio published in the Portfolio ShowCase Volume 7 Book. Select artists also will receive a blog feature at the Center’s blog, PERSPECTIVES.
ONE SOLO EXHIBITION AWARD
One artist will be chosen for a solo exhibition at the Center for Fine Art Photography.
PORTFOLIO SHOWCASE GROUP SHOW
The Center will exhibit prints from the selected artists in conjunction with the book launch to promote the artists.
JUROR’S SELECTION
The juror will select one portfolio to be the first presented in the book and will select an image from the portfolio to be the book cover.
IMPORTANT DATES
Entries due: December 2, 2013 Notice of acceptance: December 18, 2013 Online Exhibition Begins: June 2014 Book Release and Reception: June 2014
Eligibility: The exhibition is open to photographers world wide, both amateur and professional. The Center invites photographers working in all mediums, styles, and schools of thought to participate in its exhibitions.
Acceptance Notice: Everyone who submits will receive an email notification of which images were accepted.
ENTRY FEE
Members: $50 for the first portfolio (12 images) Non-Members: $65 for the first portfolio (12 images)
Additional portfolios may be submitted for $85. There is no limit to the number of portfolios that may be submitted.
Applicants signing up for membership at the time they submit will receive the automatic discounted entry fee.

By submission for jurying, artists whose submissions are chosen for the exhibition grant The Center for Fine Art Photography the right to use their images for the purpose of marketing the exhibition, marketing the Center’s programs and subsequent dis- play on the Center’s website of past exhibitions. Promotions may be placed on social networks for The Center for Fine Art Photography. Artists grant the use of their image(s) as stated without further contact or compensation from the Center.
