Call for expression of interest for design collaboration and purchase of editioned / existing work(s) of art
Temple Cross, Finzels Reach, Bristol UK
Expressions of interest by 5pm on 4th May 2011
Finzels Reach Ltd is redeveloping a major four acre waterfront site in central Bristol into a mixed use development comprising of residential, office and retail space including public realm and a landmark bridge.
As part of the ongoing art programme (managed by Ginkgo Projects) Finzels Reach Ltd wishes to purchase an existing or editioned work of art for the focal space of Temple Cross. We are looking for expressions of interest from artists to work collaboratively with the project team to integrate a substantial work into this new city space.
The work may be an existing work of art, part of a series, edition or possibly a new commission. We are interested in receiving applications from artists wanting to collaborate and help form a vibrant new space for Bristol.
Approximate value of the work: £150,000 - £190,000 ex vat
How to Apply
If you are interested in applying for this project, please send by email:
• A recent copy of your artist’s statement and CV
• Up to 10 images of your recent work
• Up to 5 images of any completed work or editions proposed for siting at the Temple Cross site
• A statement outlining how you would approach the project and ambitions for the integration of your work.
• Purchase price of existing work/editions, with any exclusions. If you are represented then details of gallery/agent commission charges should be submitted.
• Confirmation that you are available during July/August to undertake design collaboration work and that any work purchased will be available for installation by December 2012.
