The travel grant offers the opportunity from August through November to follow in the footsteps of the Saxon Utopian and early Socialist Christian Gottlieb Priber (1697-1745) and discover his places of residence in Zittau (Germany), London (U.K.), Savannah, Charleston, the former Cherokee region in Tennessee and Fort Frederica on St. Simon´s Island (USA). From the impressions and discoveries, artists can create a project, which may subsequently be presented in Leipzig and Weimar. A total of 5000 Euros are available for this project.
Artists from throughout the world are called on to apply by sending the completed application form and a letter of motivation, which includes a proposed idea for the project and a time plan for the travel grant. A three-person expert jury will meet at the end of June 2012 to select the fellowship recipient from the applications, which must arrive at HALLE 14 by the application deadline.
