Spring 2013 Artist Residency Fellowship

The Contemporary Artists Center is housed in two Neo-Gothic stone church buildings situated on the Woodside National Historic Register Site in Troy, NY. CAC welcomes artists from all over the U.S. and abroad for residencies of up to three months. Just 2.5 hours north of NYC, CAC is conveniently accessible by car or public transportation. We are currently accepting applications for our Spring 2013 season.

The CAC focuses on emerging artists who offer quality in their art and encourages diversity of style, format (2-D, 3-D, 4-D) and concepts. The residency program offers artists the time and support to create new work and fosters an environment that encourages creativity, dialog, and experimentation. Merit fellowships and work exchange opportunities are available. All residency artists receive some level of financial assistance. Technical information: The residency includes use of all CAC studios and equipment. Specialized facilities include: woodshop,tool room, sewing/fabric area
Studio information: CAC facility features high-ceiling, adaptable studio space open 24 hours a day, wfi, exhibition opportunities, weekly critiques, and free access to all CAC events.
Accommodation information: The living area includes lofted bedrooms, living room/library, dining room, shared kitchen & baths, wifi, and a communal organic garden.
