Momenta Art Open Call for 2015-16 Season

Momenta Art is an artist-run, not-for profit organization dedicated to providing a space for public dialog through critically-engaged art projects. This year, proposals will be reviewed by Petrushka Bazin Larsen, an independent curator and arts administrator, and Momenta Art staff. Please read the guidelines below and follow instructions in order to ensure that your proposals can be given the attention they deserve during our selection process. We kindly ask you to contribute a $10 fee to offset the administrative costs associated with reviewing your application. We look forward to receiving strong project proposals to be realized during September 2015 – June 2016. We sincerely appreciate your interest in our program.

Petrushka Bazin Larsen is an independent curator and arts administrator committed to finding new ways of making art more accessible. As an independent curator, she has organized exhibitions at The Kitchen, NURTUREart, along New York City’s 14th Street for Art in Odd Places, in a San Francisco-based self-storage unit, among other venues. As the Program Director of The Laundromat Project, she works with artists to present engaging art programs and experiences in laundromats and other everyday spaces throughout New York.
ARTIST PROPOSAL
We accept documentation of existing artwork or future project plans by individual artists, collaborative teams and collectives. Your proposal will be considered for solo exhibitions and group exhibitions curated by Momenta Art staff during September 2015–June 2016. CURATORIAL PROPOSAL
We look for well-conceptualized, ambitious curatorial proposals that can be realized through exhibitions, events, conferences, video screenings and other formats for our exhibition season 2015-16.
