ALL OR NOTHING
AN INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR WORKS COMPRISED OF MULTIPLE PARTS
Deadline: June 13, 2016
Application fee: $36 for up to three entries

Sometimes works of art are made up of many parts, each playing a critical role in forming a complete whole. Diptychs and triptychs (two and three part images) are a simple example, where the parts could qualify as stand-alone paintings, but the meaning or impact of the entire work would be lost without the set. Other examples of such multi-part works include (but are by no means limited to) grid installations, modular or installation-based sculptural works, interdependent narrative or conceptual series, and so on.
For its final competitive thematic exhibit of fhs gallery's 12th season, Manifest seeks submissions of such works which explore the role of unity in establishing a singular artistic experience or statement through multiple physically disconnected parts. It is important to keep in mind that submissions are expected to represent works of art which are specifically comprised of, and dependent upon, many components, rather than multiple related but non-dependent separate works.
Open to any and all traditional and non-traditional genre and media, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, mixed media, video, etc. The only limiting factor is that works must in some way involve more than one physical part or component.
Submission deadline: June 13, 2016
